How do I check how much battery a sensor has?

The sensor LED will briefly flash after the inhaler has been actuated, displaying a colour indicating the level of battery power.

To check the sensor battery status at other times:

  • For one button sensors, press the sensor status button once.
  • For three button sensors, press the battery icon button once.

Use the chart below as a guide to your sensor's battery status.

Colour Description Action
Green

Battery level is good.

The sensor is monitoring actuations and recording data.

No action required.
Orange

Battery level is becoming low.

The sensor continues to monitor actuations and record data.

Non-rechargeable sensors will continue to operate for up to 2 months from the time the LED changes to orange.

Rechargeable sensors will continue to operate for approx. 2-3 weeks from the time the LED changes to orange.

If a back-up non-rechargeable sensor is available, pair this with the mobile device within one month of when the sensor LED changed to orange.

Charge your rechargeable sensor.

Contact your Health Care Professional or Program Administrator to arrange a replacement sensor.

Red

The battery is depleted.

The sensor is not monitoring actuations or recording data.

Stop using the sensor and pair a back-up sensor.

Replace the sensor by contacting your Health Care Professional or Program Administrator.

Charge the rechargeable sensor.

No flash The battery is flat or the sensor has failed. Contact your Health Care Professional or Program Administrator for a replacement sensor.
