How do I pair my Hailie™ sensor?

Before initiating pairing, you will need to ensure that Bluetooth®  is enabled on your mobile device and that you have an internet connection. Tap on either iOS or Android below for a guide on how to do this for each operating system.

iOS devices

1. Go to the Settings menu on your mobile device. On the Settings list, tap Bluetooth® to open the Bluetooth®

2. Toggle the Bluetooth switch to the right to enable it.

3. Enable Wi-Fi or Mobile data to be able to connect to the Hailie™ server when you are pairing your sensor.

Android devices

1. Ensure Bluetooth® is enabled on your phone or tablet computer. Go to the Settings menu on your phone. Tap Connected devices to access the Bluetooth®  settings.

2. Toggle the Bluetooth®  switch to the right to enable it.

3. Return to the Settings menu and tap Network & Internet. Enable Wi-Fi or Mobile data to be able to connect to the Hailie™ server when you are pairing your sensor.

Pairing Instructions

Be aware that the pairing process may differ slightly depending on the type of Hailie™ sensor and the compatible mobile device you are using. Look for the sensor shape below that most closely resembles your Hailie™ sensor and tap on it to see the pairing instructions.

1. Open the Hailie™ app and navigate to the Inhalers screen. Tap the '+' symbol in the top right corner of the screen and select Add sensor to access the pairing menu.

3. The Hailie™ app helps you to prepare the Hailie™ sensor before pairing is initiated. The Hailie™ app navigates you through the following instructions:

  • Wake up 
  • Attaching the Sensor
  • Battery Level
  • Pairing Instructions

4. On the Hailie™ sensor, hold down the Pair Button for 1 second to enter pairing mode. The Pair LED will flash blue when the Hailie™ sensor is in pairing mode. The Pair LED will flash green to indicate successful pairing.

If the pairing is not successful within 60 seconds the LED flashes red. The pairing process can be repeated if necessary.

 

The Hailie™ sensor can only be paired with a single mobile device at one time. Successful pairing with a new mobile device removes the current pairing. If pairing on the new mobile device fails, the existing pairing will be retained.

4. On the SmartTurbo™, press the Status Button 3 times quickly to enter pairing mode. The LED will flash blue when the SmartTurbo™ is in pairing mode. The LED will flash green to indicate successful pairing.

If the pairing is not successful within 60 seconds the LED flashes red. The pairing process can be repeated if necessary.

 

The Hailie™ sensor can only be paired with a single phone or tablet computer at one time. Successful pairing with a new phone or tablet computer removes the current pairing. If pairing on the new phone or tablet computer fails, the existing pairing will be retained.

 

The Hailie™ app will advise you if the pairing has been successful or unsuccessful. If pairing is unsuccessful, please follow the Hailie™ app instructions and try pairing again.

If the serial number of your Hailie™ sensor does appear in the Setup list when you search on the Hailie™ app, try to Forget This Device in your mobile device Settings menu before attempting to pair the sensor again.
