I'm travelling. How can I change the Hailie™ sensor's time zone?

It is still possible to travel and enjoy your holidays if you have a respiratory condition.

The Hailie™ sensor keeps track of your Inhaler medication usage when you are travelling, but it is important that you follow some simple steps to make sure your data is recorded properly.

Hailie™ app for iOS

When travelling with your iPhone and iPad, these devices will automatically change time zones for you. You may never need to change your time manually in your life. However, if you are travelling somewhere that's in a different time zone and you are unable to get any service (Wi-Fi or cellular), you could be stuck backwards or forward in time. If your device still shows an incorrect date, time, or time zone, change each setting instead of using Set Automatically. Follow these steps to make sure you are in the correct time zone:

  1. Go to Settings > General > Date & Time
  2. Turn off Set Automatically.
  3. Tap Time Zone and enter a city with the time zone that you need.
  4. Or tap the date to change the date and time.
  5. Make sure when you connect to a cellular network you open the Hailie™ app and sync with the Hailie™ sensor. This will update the time on your sensor.
Hailie™ app for Android

When your Android device is connected to a cellular network, it automatically updates its clock to correspond to your current time zone. If you're unable to connect to a network (for example, when you're on an aeroplane) use the Time settings to manually change the time zone on the Android device. The Android retains the time zone change until you either change it again manually or re-enable automatic time zone retrieval.

  1. Press the Menu button on the Android, then tap Settings.
  2. Scroll down to the bottom of the Settings menu, then tap Date & Time.
  3. Tap the box next to Automatic to un-check it. The Android will no longer retrieve the time zone from your mobile network.
  4. Tap Select Time Zone to view a list of time zones.
  5. Scroll down the list and tap a location in the desired time zone. Alternatively, select a time zone by name.
  6. Press the Home button to return to the Android's home screen. The time that corresponds to the new time zone appears on the display.
  7. Make sure when you connect to a cellular network you open the Hailie™ app and sync with the Hailie™ sensor. This will update the time on your sensor.
